Glynn Visits Wounded Soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital, Discusses Health Care

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WASHINGTON-- Kate Glynn, an Iraq war veteran and wife of a Marine Major, visited injured soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center Tuesday. Glynn thanked the soldiers for their sacrifice and shared stories from her own time in the service. Outside the hospital, Glynn explained her vision for health care in America.

“Walter Reed is proof of America’s greatness. At this world class hospital our men and women in uniform receive the best treatment available. However, access to quality health care should not be limited to service men and women. As President, I will fight to make sure that every American, whether soldier or citizen, has the opportunity to obtain the kind of medical attention that lives up to these highest of standards.”

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Glynn was a Navy helicopter pilot from 1998-2007 during Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
